Katie Holmes prefers box wine over fancy bottles because they’re “easier to open”.
The Toledo, Ohio native may crack open the champagne after her debut in Broadway’s Dead Accounts.
But at home, the actress reaches for a far more humbling beverage.
"I still think of myself as Midwestern. I mean, I've had box wine… It's good. And it's a lot easier to open," she mused to the New York Times.
Katie, 33, began previews for her second show on Broadway this week.
But she admits she gets performance anxiety at the thought of her high-profile job.
“I have a hard time sleeping because I think about how serious this all is," she explained.
"I think to myself: 'You better do a good job. People are paying a lot of money.' You want to know your stuff."
Dead Accounts, co-starring Judy Greer and Josh Hamilton, will officially open on November 29.
Katie made her Broadway debut in a 2008 revival of All My Sons, co-starring John Lithgow.
She drew mixed reviews for that performance.
