Keira Knightley enjoys bridal tea with Ellen

Keira Knightley has enjoyed a surprise bridal tea party thrown by talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

The refined bash was in honour of Keira’s upcoming wedding to Klaxons keyboardist James Righton.

Keira and James announced their engagement in May, but the Anna Karenina star says she has put little thought into her upcoming nuptials.

"The problem is ever since [our engagement] everyone keeps going, 'So when is it going to happen and what's the dress like?'" she explained on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

"I'm just not one of those girls that's had the kind of fantasy wedding thing, so we haven't planned anything and it's all quite terrifying and I sort looked up on the Internet, 'if you're getting married what should you do?'"

During her appearance on the show, Ellen surprised Keira by bringing out renaissance wigs and a china tea set.

The pair sat sipping their tea and wearing the wigs as the talk show host did her best to put on a posh English accent for her British guest – who is renowned for her roles in period dramas.

The 27-year-old also discussed her cover shoot for Allure, which was revealed earlier this week.

For the racy topless photos, Keira covers her modesty with her arms and a tiny jacket.

In the past, the actress has revealed she has been unhappy with the way pictures of her have digitally enhanced her modest breasts.

However, she assured Ellen she is happy with the way her Allure shoot turned out.

"You know, I'm happy with [my breasts] – with the size they are," she said.

"I'm alright with it unless they make them really droopy. Then I kind of think, 'Okay, if you're going to invent that fact that I have big t*ts any way, could they at least be perky ones?' It seems a little unfair to go from nothing to a big droop. So that's when I get quite unhappy about it."
