Kim Kardashian admits she definitely misses privacy from time to time.

The 34-year-old has starred on reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians since it debuted in 2007.

And although she truly enjoys her job, Kim confesses sometimes being followed around by cameras all day makes her grow weary.

“I definitely miss it, but how do you tell someone who lives their life on reality TV that they want privacy'” Kim questioned when asked by Variety whether she desires a bit of solitude from time to time. “So I’m ok with it. I’m fine with it. I think that’s probably why we live in a gated community that’s like a farm.”

Calabasas, California is a suburb of Los Angeles which is several miles away from the city in the San Fernando Valley. Kim lives in a mansion there with her husband Kanye West and their 22-month-old daughter North West.

The rest of her family are nearby as sisters Khloé, Kourtney, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner and their mother Kris Jenner all have residences within a few miles of each other.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians was recently extended for three more seasons and when asked if she’d get tired of reality TV, Kim noted the platform really helps all her relatives stay sane.

“I think eventually, maybe, but I really do love it,” Kim said of whether she’d tire of reality television. “I think it brings our family together. It’s like therapy. We’re together all the time.”

On Friday Kim was honoured at Variety’s Power of Women luncheon for her charity work with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Her stepfather Bruce Jenner, who is reportedly undergoing transgender transformation into a woman, will see his interview with Diane Sawyer air on Sunday.

And Kim plans to support him during the broadcast.

“We're going to watch the special together as a family, with Bruce,” she told reporters at the Variety luncheon, according to Us Weekly magazine.
