Kim Richards 'arrested for shoplifting at Target'

Kim Richards has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of shoplifting,

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was caught stealing at a Target store, with a source telling E! News she had more than $600 worth of items on her.

The news outlet also reports that after being arrested on Sunday for the crime, she was released on $5,000 bail.

The alleged crime took place near her San Fernando Valley home in southern California.

Security reportedly spotted the 50-year-old taking several items and placed her under a citizen’s arrest until police arrived on the scene.

She was allegedly taken to the Van Nuys Police Department, where she spent the night.

Police will now turn the case over to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office and prosecutors will determine whether to press charges.

Kim has had a tough year, which also saw her arrested in April. Security at the famous Beverly Hills Hotel responded to an alleged fight. She was reported to have been heavily intoxicated with alcohol and slurring her speech at the time.

Kim then entered rehab, and her attorney Robert Shapiro sent an associate to plead not guilty on her behalf.

In 2013 Kim spoke about how great it felt to be sober. The blonde, who is Paris and Nicky Hilton’s aunt, has visited rehab a number of times, but has also had periods of sobriety.

"It hasn't been easy, but my whole life today is amazing, and I owe it all to my sobriety,” Kim previously told People magazine.
