Actress Kirsten Dunst wants nothing more than to become a mother.

The 33-year-old has had high profile relationships in the past with Everest actor Jake Gyllenhaal and Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell. She is now happily settled with boyfriend of four years, actor Garrett Hedlund and Kirsten admits her biological clock is ticking.

“That’s what I want,” she smiled to Britain’s The Guardian newspaper when the subject of marriage and children came up. “And I’m 33 – I’m not going to mess around, you know what I mean? So, yes. That’s the goal.”

Kirsten admits she is lacking in some areas when it comes to domestic chores. The kitchen is most definitely not her domain, much to the amusement of her boyfriend.

“I don’t cook. And I feel like guys love it when girls cook for them,” she sighed. “F**k the system, but it’s also nice to be able to cook. That doesn’t sound very feminist of me, though… But that’s the only thing [Garrett] teases me about, that I can’t cook.”

Her lack of culinary skills aside, the couple are blissfully happy at their home in Burbank, Los Angeles with their cats. Having had her heart broken in the past, the Marie Antoinette star knows she’s found the real thing with Garrett.

“Every time I’ve fallen immediately in lust or whatever it is, you think it’s love, but it has always ended badly,” she said. “Always. It’s always when I’ve grown to love someone that it’s a real relationship. And not fantasyland. (Garrett) a very good person. He’s just kind; a kind man.”

Kirsten’s career is also going strongly. Having started out as a child star in movies including Interview with the Vampire and Jumanji, she has continued to be prominent on the big screen. She is also turning her hand to television, starring in the second series of British show Fargo.

“Doing a television show is much, much harder work than film, because you’re doing 10 pages a day,” she admitted. “You don’t get that many takes and my character does not stop talking.”
