Heidi Klum’s dogs create “pure comic gold”.
The 41-year-old supermodel-turned-television personality is a mother of four and proud owner of German shepherds Max and Freddy and Pomeranian Simba.
"It is totally hilarious when Max and Freddy let one rip," she told People magazine. "Then they jump up because the noise scares them. Pure comic gold."
Heidi split from ex-husband Seal after seven years of marriage and the former couple has three children, Henry, Johan and Lou. The star is also the mother of Leni from her relationship with Italian businessman Flavio Briatore.
"The kids adore them!" she revealed the dogs’ role in the family. "The seven of them will all be wrestling and rolling around on the floor and chasing toys around. There's a ton of laughter."
The dogs and kids are “one big happy family”. But while Max and Freddy are likely to jump in the swimming pool on the weekends for some fun, Heidi explained that the smaller dog stays back from the water, instead taking on the “role of lifeguard”.
Leni apparently was the one who pushed for the smaller dog but she wasn’t just given the puppy. The ten-year-old worked for a year until she “earned it” by doing chores and getting good grades.
“So then this tiny Pomeranian joined the fold. He is about a tenth the size of Max and Freddy, but also thinks he is a guard dog,” Heidi said.
The Project Runway host began dating New York art dealer Vito Schnabel, 28, at the beginning of the year, following her breakup from bodyguard Martin Kristen shortly before. She's wed twice in the past, with her marriage to Seal coming to an end in 2012.
