Kris Jenner was reportedly “really upset” about Bruce Jenner’s decision to be interviewed by Diane Sawyer.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians matriarch separated from the former Olympian in October 2013 after 22 years of marriage. Since then, there has been speculation that Bruce is transitioning to become a woman. It's believed Bruce will address the rumours in an interview with acclaimed presenter Diane, which airs in the US on Friday. However his 59-year-old former spouse is extremely concerned about what he’s going to reveal.
“Initially, she was really upset about it; the fact that he was going to address anything publicly,” a source told the New York Daily News. “So the momager part of her, was like, ‘Hell, no.’ Bruce has never been allowed to say anything. For him this is an ‘Eff you — this is my life!’ moment.”
Kris is executive producer of the family’s reality show and has always kept tight control over everyone’s media appearances. So the thought of being kept in the dark about Bruce’s chat reportedly meant she “flipped” and was worried he would “embarrass” their two children together, daughters Kendall, 19, and Kylie, 17.
“The older ones [Kris’ daughters Kourtney, Kim and Khloé Kardashian] can handle it,” the source continued. “She said that it could damage [Kendall and Kylie’s] careers. She said he was being selfish. At first she told him, ‘You better not do it.’”
However now she has been able to find out a little about what was said, she has calmed down, but is still “worried what he’s going to say about her.”
News of Kris’ concern comes after images of what appear to be Bruce wearing a dress for the first time were published online. In the images, a figure that looks like the 65-year-old can be seen wearing a black and white striped maxi dress while outside his Malibu home having a cigarette.
