Kristen Stewart remains “endlessly proud” of Twilight.

The 24-year-old actress became a household name after playing Bella Swan in The Twilight Saga.

And while Kristen has gone on to roles in more dramatic films, such as her most recent Still Alice, the star insists she will forever be grateful for her start in the industry.

"Anybody who wants to talk sh*t about Twilight, I completely get it, but there's something there that I'm endlessly, and to this day, f***ing proud of,” Kristen told Interview magazine. “My memory of it felt — still feels — really good."

As well as making a name for herself through her role as Bella, Kristen also met then-boyfriend Robert Pattinson on the set of the movie.

The pair became one of the most famous celebrity couples in the world before they split in 2012 when Kristen was photographed kissing Rupert Sanders, the married director of her film Snow White and the Huntsman.

Kristen also revealed she doesn’t think about Twilight any differently to the other movies she has taken on.

"I'm always asked about what type of things I want to do, and if I make decisions based on my last project," Kristen said. "Say I do a big franchise movie about a vampire that falls in love with a normal girl. It's like, 'Now do you want to show them that you can be a real, serious actor?' It's like, 'Was I not being a real, serious actor?'

"People are always comparing sh*t. Like, comparing Twilight to things and trying to figure out why I've made certain decisions that I've made, and I always say every single moment that has led me to this moment has made me who I am.”
