The first fully authorised documentary about the iconic musician, from acclaimed filmmaker Brett Morgen.

Witness the first ever fully authorised documentary to chronicle the life of the legendary Nirvana frontman, as COBAIN: Montage of Heck releases on Digital Download on 24th April, and Blu-ray and DVD from 27th April.

Eight years in the making, COBAIN: Montage of Heck was written, produced and directed by Academy Award ® Nominee Brett Morgen (The Kid Stays in the Picture, Crossfire Hurricane) and features Kurt’s daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, as executive producer. The documentary features interviews from Kurt’s family, none of whom have ever been interviewed before, along with bandmate Krist Novoselic and his widow Courtney Love.

Experience an intimate and definitive portrait of a musical and cultural icon, Kurt Cobain, through unprecedented access to his personal archive of art, written word, music (both his most famous and some that’s never been heard), and never-before-seen home movies, with animation and revelatory interviews from his family and closest confidantes.

Following Kurt from his earliest years in Aberdeen, WA, through to the height of his fame, the documentary creates an intense and powerful cinematic insight into an artist who craved the spotlight, even as he rejected the trappings of fame.

Fans and those of the Nirvana generation will learn things about Cobain they never knew while those who have recently discovered the man and his music will know what makes him the lasting icon that he still is today.

Get ready to gain an authentic, visceral and unflinching insight into the life of a generation-defining icon, as COBAIN: Montage of Heck is released on Digital Download from 24th April, and Blu-ray and DVD from 27th April 2015.
