Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore have altered the title of their philanthropic organisation.

The 50-year-old actress and the 34-year-old actor announced that they were ending their marriage last year.

The former couple created The Demi and Ashton (DNA) Foundation in 2010, with a mission to shed light on the horrors of child sex trafficking.

Extra reports that the couple changed DNA’s name to THORN: Digital Defenders of Children.

Ashton and Demi believe the charity has a promising future.

"For the past three years we have focused our work broadly on combating child sex trafficking. It has become crystal clear in our efforts that technology plays an increasingly large role in this crime and in the sexual exploitation of children overall," the pair released in a joint statement.

"We believe that the technology-driven aspect of these crimes demands its own attention and investment."

Ashton has moved on since the breakup and is currently enjoying a high-profile relationship with actress Mila Kunis.

Neither Demi nor Ashton have officially filed for divorce yet.
