Ashton Kutcher has a new hero complex.

The 36-year-old actor and his fiancée Mila Kunis welcomed their first child earlier last month, and Ashton can’t help but gush over his baby daughter Wyatt. Explaining how much he loves the feeling of being needed, Ashton admits his ego is getting even bigger since the arrival of the baby.

“I kind of have, like, a hero complex a little bit," Ashton told US TV show The Talk. "I'm somebody's hero now. It fulfils every bit of your ego when the kid starts to cry and you're like, 'Oh, I got this,' and you take it, and suddenly the child calms down, and you're like, 'Oh yeah!' You feel like you're like a baby whisperer."

Ashton and Mila, 31, have recently been rocked by claims made by make-up artist Linn Massinger, who alleges she had an "intimate embrace" with the Two and a Half Men actor just weeks before he went public with Mila in 2012. Linn claims she met Ashton in a Los Angeles bar and then went back to his, with British newspaper The Sun printing an image which purportedly shows her asleep in his arms fully clothed.

However, he’s not letting the allegations get him down and is completely focused on his new dad duties.

"The whole [baby] thing is pretty exceptional. We decided right away that we didn't want to have a nanny or a night nurse or anything, and we're lucky enough that we have jobs that we can afford to spend time and be at home, or take time off if we need to,” he smiled.

"Everyone says when you get a child they don’t come with an owner’s manual, but that’s kind of not true because Google is like an owner’s manual. You can pretty much Google anything and it’s there. For me, I go to my partner, you know? I talk to Mila, and we make choices. We did a lot of research - we both did, like, a lot of research."
