Lea Michele: I’m embarrassed

Lea Michele finds some of the activities she’s partaking in absolutely embarrassing.

The 28-year-old former Glee actress is prone to zoning out with trash TV.

And she cannot get over Lifetime’s fresh drama programme UnREAL, which is a parody of reality show The Bachelor.

"My new obsession? Are you watching UnREAL?" she asked Us Weekly magazine. "I texted Shiri Appleby last night and I’m like, 'Ummm, so you need to win like an Academy Award.' She is so good!

"It’s switched me. I’m less obsessed with The Bachelorette and I’m more obsessed with UnREAL. Emma [Roberts] told me about it. She was like, 'You have to watch it!'"

But trash television bingeing does not stop with UnREAL for Lea.

The star is prone to sucking in a host of series when she has free time.

"Right now, I love Naked and Afraid," she gushed. "I’m embarrassed. It’s so good. I’m so deep into Ray Donovan right now, it’s crazy. Obviously, my Housewives. Right now, I’m watching New York and OC. Love my girl Carole! Carole Radziwill! – she’s my girl, so I’ve got to watch her and support her! That’s my excuse. Ugh, it’s like amazing.

"Oh, and Food Network. Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I think I would cry if I met Guy Fieri. Not Meryl Streep... Guy Fieri would be like, I would die I would be so happy."

Lea stars with Emma, Jamie Lee Curtis and Ariana Grande in their forthcoming TV show Scream Queens.

She loved working with so many strong women as the creativity never ceases to flow.

"Right now, I’m on this awesome TV show with an incredible group of actresses, and they’re constantly inspiring me," Lea said. "My mum inspires me a lot, she helps me keep going if I’m tired or whatever. So I have a lot of inspiration around me constantly, and that’s really what keeps the fire lit in this industry."
