Lindsay Lohan has allegedly been involved in an altercation with a paparazzo.

The troubled actress was court ordered into rehab earlier this year but is now trying to turn her life around. After her treatment she gave Oprah Winfrey a sit-down interview, in which she admitted being an addict. She is now filming a reality series for the talk show queen's TV network and it was while shooting this in New York City that the incident reportedly occurred.

"I see her walking and I was like, ‘Oh my God,'" the photographer involved told New York Daily News' Confidenti@l column. "She was walking, she was taking video with her crew, she’s posing, whatever… Then when they saw me the crew was like, ‘Stop filming, stop filming.’

"[Lindsay] started yelling, ‘You’re invading my personal space.’"

The paparazzo was shooting footage on his phone as he was off duty at the time and didn't have his real equipment with him.

Lindsay apparently quickly climbed into a waiting car, then barked orders at her team.

"She told her assistant to grab my phone," the man, who has asked not to be identified, claimed. "Someone from her show grabbed for my phone and I said, ‘What are you doing?’"

It is alleged that the 27-year-old told her assistant to "grab his f**king phone" and when things didn't progress as she wanted shouted: "Now I’m mad."

The paparazzo claims the assistant, apparently known as Matt, chased him and eventually offered him $1,000 for the footage. He declined the amount, insisting the scenes depict a crime.

"I wasn’t upset or nothing till they tried to assault me," he alleged, referring to the group attempting to take his cell.

The photographer summoned police, but the incident won't be investigated.

Lindsay's spokespeople are yet to comment on the claims.
