Lindsay Lohan's pals are reportedly really proud of the former party animal.
The flame-haired actress hit the big time as a child star, in Disney movies such as The Parent Trap and Freaky Friday, but she became better known for her tabloid tales when she hit her twenties.
However, the actress has recently turned her career around and is currently treading the boards in London's West End play Speed-the-Plow, which has seen her perform to packed-out audiences.
“A bunch of her friends went to see the show and, despite what you hear, she gave a really solid performance,” an insider revealed to Radar.
The play opened earlier this month, to mixed reviews. While some praised her performance as secretary Karen in David Mamet's play, others said she had to be fed her lines.
But those close to her laugh off such allegations.
“She did not get handed her lines and was really funny. The audience had a great reaction to her," the insider added.
Last year 28-year-old Lindsay spent time in rehab after a court ordered her to stay in a facility for 90 days.
While she has been spotted out and about in London, pals reveal she's doing great and they couldn't be happier.
“She is in a really good place right now and we are all really proud of her. It seems like the old Lindsay is back. She looks great and she has allowed us all back into her life," the source said.
