LiLo laughs off virus

Lindsay Lohan shared a giggle with fans over her bout with an untreatable virus.

The Mean Girls actress contracted Chikungunya while on vacation in Bora Bora, an ailment transmitted by mosquitoes causing fever, joint pain and fatigue.

It’s claimed she was hospitalised complaining of severe symptoms earlier this week and on Saturday Lindsay took to Instagram to have a laugh about the situation.

In a racy image, the star seemed remarkably thin as she posed in a Calvin Klein thong.

“#mycalvins are helping me fight off my chikungunya hehe,” she wrote in the image caption, attaching a smiley face emoji that is blowing a kiss.

However, it’s been claimed Lindsay’s Chikungunya saga is no laughing matter.

TMZ reported this week the 28-year-old couldn’t walk due to unbearable joint pain.

Before being released Wednesday, the star is said to have checked herself into King Edward VII’s Hospital in London on Tuesday complaining of worsening symptoms.

It’s claimed Lindsay’s mother Dina is so concerned for her daughter’s wellbeing, she’s asked Lindsay to come live with her in Long Island, New York while she’s sick.

“[Dina’s] taking no chances and wants Lindsay home,” a source told Radar Online recently.

“She is extremely worried for Lindsay and has suggested that she come back to live with her until her symptoms get better.”

But apparently the actress is more optimistic about her health than some of her loved ones.

“Lindsay is convinced that she can beat this, but has not been doing so well these past couple of weeks,” the Radar insider said.
