Lindsay Lohan is said to be "determined" to become a successful movie star again.

The 28-year-old actress is currently gracing the West End in London, UK, play Speed-the-Plow, which closes next week. It marks her first big job following her run-ins with the law over the years -including the theft of a necklace in 2011 for which she was put on probation until the beginning of this month - and her court-ordered rehab stint last year.

It seems she has enjoyed being on the stage, regularly posting about the show on social media, but the star's main goal is said to be returning to her movie roots. She landed her first role in Disney's 1998 flick The Parent Trap.

"Lindsay is doing better than she has in years! Lindsay is determined to become a movie star again," a source told RadarOnline.com.

"Lindsay plans to return to her family in New York and is then heading to LA because she has three big movies that she is getting ready to star in."

And now she has put her past problems behind her Lindsay is reportedly ready to move onto bigger and better things. Website IMDB lists the upcoming projects she is involved in, with one called Soul Carriers and another titled Life Travelers, alongside James Duval.

"She almost has a clean slate after all of her legal issues," the insider added.

Her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley spoke out after her hearing earlier this month, sharing her delight at her client's probation finishing.

"The judge was pleased, the prosecutors were pleased and of course I'm pleased that Lindsay's doing well on probation, with her career, and generally with her life," she said in a statement.
