(Cover) - EN Movies - Lily Collins says being “trained by dwarf bandits” made her invincible.
The budding Hollywood star discussed her role in upcoming movie Mirror Mirror: The Untold Adventures of Snow White and revealed her favourite scene.
Lily named a sword fight as her proudest moment and joked that she is better at handling weapons than her co-star Armie Hammer.
“We were so proud when we finished the fight scene. Because the way [director] Tarsem [Singh] shot it proves it was really us. And I think I could defend myself with a sword now, too,” she told Empire magazine. “I could beat Armie. He’s taller than me and he’s really strong, plus he had the more formal training. But I got trained by dwarf bandits, so obviously I’d win.”
Lily also addressed the potential rivalry between her upcoming movie and Snow White and the Huntsman, which stars Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth.
The star insisted there is room for both takes on the classic story because they take a very different angle on the fairy tale.
“The two films couldn’t be more different. Ours is all about finding out who you really are, and when you find love in yourself you can find love in someone else,” she explained. “That’s what Snow White learns from the dwarves. That and how to kick ass.”
