Lincoln is leading the pack of nominees for the 2013 Critics Choice Awards.

The Steven Spielberg film, starring Daniel Day-Lewis as the 16th President of the United States, has scored a record 13 nods.

The drama will compete for Best Picture alongside Argo, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Django Unchained, Les Miserables, Life of Pi, The Master, Moonrise Kingdom, Silver Linings Playbook and Zero Dark Thirty.

Daniel and co-stars Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones have also been nominated in the Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor categories, respectively.

Tom Hooper’s big screen version of Les Miserables trailed with an impressive 11 nominations.

In addition to the Best Picture category, the film earned nods for Best Director (Tom Hooper), Best Actor (Hugh Jackman) and Best Supporting Actress (Anne Hathaway).

David O. Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook earned ten nominations. Its star Jennifer Lawrence has the most nominations of any individual, with nods for Best Actress, Best Actress in a Comedy, Best Acting Ensemble an Best Actress in an Action Movie. The latter is for her role in The Hunger Games.

Ang Lee’s Life of Pi followed Silver Linings with nine nominations while Ben Affleck’s Argo, Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master and Sam Mendes’ Bond film Skyfall each earned seven.

The 18th Annual Critics Choice Movie Awards will broadcast on January 10 on America’s CW network.
