Lindsay Lohan is reportedly seeking the help of a spiritual adviser to keep her out of jail.
The 26-year-old actress is facing up to 245 days in jail for violating her probation.
According to TMZ, she has asked her spiritual adviser to write a letter on her behalf to the judge hearing her case.
The website reports she has also enlisted friends and family for the cause.
“Lindsay believes the letters will help prove jail is not the best option for her,” the website claims.
The actress has reportedly been seeing a spiritual adviser since 2008.
Lindsay’s probation stems from a 2011 jewellery theft and was formally revoked earlier this month after she was arraigned for lying to police about her June 8 car crash in Santa Monica, California.
The actress was indicted for reckless driving, obstructing or resisting a police officer in the performance of his duty and giving false information to a police officer.
Court Commissioner Jane Godfrey is hearing the case and could send the actress to counseling in lieu of jail time.
A hearing is scheduled for January 25.
Lindsay was also arrested and charged with assault after apparently hitting Tiffany Eve Mitchell in the face at a New York City nightclub late last month.
