Rob Lowe has assured fans he’s OK after a surfing accident Sunday.

The Parks and Recreation star took a trip to the hospital after slicing open his knee while hitting the waves.

And he took to Twitter after the incident to let everyone know there was nothing to worry about.

“The amount of blood that can unwantedly come out of one’s body is amazing,” the fascinated 50-year-old actor mused, including with a picture of himself getting stitched up: “My day so far. I will live. #SurfStitches.”

“#CrimsonTide #SoSharky,” he later captioned an Instagram photo of himself shirtless while carrying his surf board.

Rob appears to be enjoying a little time off, with his work schedule looking very busy in the coming months.

Last week it was announced the star had partnered with veteran comedy writers Pete Huyck and Alex Gregory, who were behind his NBC pilot The Pro, to launch a new project.

The single-camera family comedy follows a “worldly, adventurous, and newly sober narcissist”, according to Deadline.

Drama unfolds as Rob’s character returns to his hometown determined to reenter his children’s lives and make amends with his ex-wife more than a decade after leaving his family.

Rob will also executive produce with Pete, Alex and Marc Gurvitz, of Brillstein Entertainment.

And he can be seen on the small screen in TV movie Beautiful and Twisted, co-starring Paz Vega and Candice Bergen.
