Matthew McConaughey: I’m vain

Matthew McConaughey thinks “vanity is a good thing”.

The 44-year-old Magic Mike actor is considered to be one of the sexiest men in Hollywood.

And Matthew agrees with the people who compliment his handsome looks.

"I am vain," he revealed in the November issue of America’s GQ magazine. "I think vanity is a good thing."

Matthew is parent to three children with his stunning wife Camila Alves, who is a Brasilian supermodel.

Although the couple first began dating in 2006, he didn’t propose until 2011, and the pair finally tied the knot in the summer of 2012.

Matthew reveals he decided to pop the question after Camila put a little pressure on him.

"[She told me,] 'Come on, big boy, Mr. Easygoing-We'll-Get-Together-When-We-Get-Together, either sh*t or get off the pot!'" he laughed.

The thespian’s career is going from strength to strength with an Oscar-winning turn in last year's Dallas Buyers Club and a popular performance in TV drama True Detective.

He appears in upcoming movie Interstellar, which is completely shrouded in secrecy. The script was mysteriously handed to him on the set of True Detective, in a locked briefcase.

"Some five-and-a-half hours later, I came back and I handed the case back," Matthew smiled to USA Today previously.

Director Christopher Nolan’s new sci-fi film Interstellar, which also stars Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain, reaches US theatres November 7.

The feature centres on a team of explorers who utilise a newly discovered wormhole to advance space travel.
