Matthew Morrison can't wait to start a family with his bride Renee Puente, but he might not always be around for his kids.

The former Glee actor wed the model in October, 2014, and the pair is happier than ever as Matthew and Renee embark on a second year of marriage.

Next up for the couple could be starting a family, but Matthew jokes he has some unusual ideas on how to raise his brood to give himself an easier life.

"I want kids," Matthew told America's People magazine. "I'm sending them to boarding school until they're older then I'll take them back."

One thing Matthew is sure about is that when he does eventually become a father, he will be introducing some traditions to the Morrison family. The actor grew up as an only child, but is determined his own offspring will have a different kind of upbringing - especially when it comes to the holiday season.

"I'm going to start a lot of traditions," he said. "I'm an only child so my parents worked a lot when I was a kid so I really want to instill a lot of great traditions that I didn't get to have."

Matthew is currently being kept busy with his role in Broadway show Finding Neverland, in which he plays Peter Pan author J. M. Barrie. The role required Matthew and Renee to temporarily relocate to New York, and while the actor/singer admits he was unsure how his spouse would cope in the Big Apple, he says she has made it her home.

"I was so scared coming to New York with Renee because she's never lived in New York before, but she's thriving here and it's so amazing," Matthew continued.

Matthew and Renee tied the knot in Maui, Hawaii after dating since 2011, and Matthew insists getting married has made their relationship even better than it was before.

"It's been awesome – like the best year," Matthew smiled. "Our relationship has totally grown.

"I feel more in love with her than I ever have been, and it's going through life with my best friend, and I'm so absolutely excited about what's next."
