Rose McGowan has praised her “wonderful agent” after being dropped from Innovative Artists.

The 41-year-old actress issued a tweet on June 17 in which she publicly shamed a sexist casting call. She later confirmed to E! that her message referred to an audition for an Adam Sandler movie.

On Wednesday June 25 Rose took to the micro-blogging site yet again to confirm Innovative Artists “fired” her because of last week’s tweet.

She was represented by Sheila Wenzel and Steve Muller at Innovative, but Sheila has since decided to leave the company and Rose stands in solidarity with the acting agent.

“Sheila Wenzel is a wonderful agent that ceased working with Innovative before my firing. She's a good, strong woman I'm proud to know,” the actress tweeted on Thursday June 26.

Several other Hollywood actresses have spoken out in support of Rose in light of her being axed from Innovative’s client list.

Two-time Academy Award-nominated actress Jessica Chastain has thanked Rose for her courage.

Melissa Silverstein, an author and speaker who advocates for gender equality in Hollywood, wrote on Twitter Thursday: “I stand with @rosemcgowan who is pulling back the screen on the sexism in Hollywood. It is so needed. Thank you.”

Jessica retweeted Melissa’s message and the Zero Dark Thirty actress also shared her stance on the issue. Signing her tweet off with a clapping emoji, Jessica wrote: “As do I. Her treatment confirms the misogyny underpinning the industry. She should be celebrated for speaking out.”

The Princess Diaries thespian Heather Matarazzo agrees with her colleagues.

“@rosemcgowan love you. You got this, we got this, and WE GOT YOU!! (sic)” she tweeted, writing in a later post: “Gratitude Moment. We are creating change by taking actions. We are the Nights Watch for #Equality and #womeninfilm”.
