Rose McGowan is fuming insurers may force a man to give up the seeing eye dog who saved his life.

The actress was touched by a story in the New York Post about a 60-year-old blind man whose guide dog leaped to his rescue after he fell onto subway tracks in the city on Tuesday morning.

According to the report, Cecil Williams will nevertheless be forced to give up his loving black Labrador mix Orlando because the pooch will soon have to retire and his insurance company will not cover a non-working dog.

Rose was infuriated by the callous response.

"Blind man, guide dog run over by subway and live @NYPost this dog should be able to stay!Damn insurance," she tweeted her 447,000 followers.

A spokesperson from the man's insurance company did not issue comment to the paper.

Rose recently had a scare of her own.

In October, the actress and activist revealed her Los Angeles home almost went up in flames.

"Well, my house almost burnt down tonight," she tweeted with relief. "Thanks @courtenaysemel for calling the fire dept and saving my house."

No one was hurt in the blaze, including Rose's beloved pets, according to UsWeekly.

Rose does have some happy news to celebrate, however.

Not long after the fire scare, the star married artist Davey Detail.

The couple had been engaged since July.
