Milla Jovovich has given birth to her second child.

The 39-year-old actress and her husband Paul W. S. Anderson are already parents to seven-year-old daughter, Ever Gabo Anderson, but have now added another little girl to their brood.

Milla's rep has confirmed the new arrival.

"Milla delivered her daughter Dashiel at 5:45 this morning," they told E! News. "Everyone is thrilled and beyond happy!

"Milla is in cuddle mode with her new daughter!"

It must come as a relief for the brunette beauty as she was already late. At the weekend she shared a humorous photo of herself on Instagram pulling a pout while out for lunch.

"Official due date today, but still no signs that the little one is ready to come out of the oven so we hit our favorite noodle place in #littleosaka #tsujitalaannex#countdowntodelivery #ladiary (sic)" she captioned the shot.

She's kept fans up to date during her pregnancy with regular posts on social media. Just yesterday she wrote on Twitter that the birth could happen at "anytime", so she and her hubby were packed and ready to head to the hospital as soon as things started.

Milla won't be taking too much time off to look after Dashiel though, as she has said she's returning to work in June to film a new movie.
