Mindy Kaling has reportedly been offered $7.5million to write a book about her love life.

The 35-year-old star has been a firm fixture on the small screen for over a decade now, making her first big appearance in The Office as Kelly Kapoor.

It was during her time on the show that she met B.J. Novak, who starred as Ryan Howard, and she eventually cast him in her own series, The Mindy Project, as her ex-boyfriend. There has been a spark between the pair over the years, and it's thought their on/off romance has gained interest from a publisher.

New York Daily News claims Mindy and B.J. would make a staggering $7.5million if they put the ins and outs of their relationship in writing, placing them on the same level as book deals offered to Lena Dunham and Hillary Clinton.

“It’s a crazy price!” an industry source said, adding that it would be a division of company Random House dishing out the money.

If it was to go ahead, the source says the book's title would be announced at the end of the month, when the pair attend BookCon at the Javits Centre in New York.

This venture would add to Mindy's current author status, having penned books Why Not Me? and Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?: (And Other Concerns). The actress has kept relatively quiet about her relationship with B.J., but told Howard Stern last September that she had her heart broken at 24.

She also described what they have as a "complicated relationship" while talking to People magazine, but admitted she wouldn't swap it for anything.
