Tracy Morgan may reportedly need assistance while walking for the rest of his life.
The 45-year-old 30 Rock star was involved in a horrific six-car accident in June, which left him severely injured and took the life of comic James McNair.
Tracy was photographed being wheelchaired into a New York City hospital on Wednesday, and sources tell TMZ Tracy may need to use these types of walking aids for the duration of his life.
“Morgan's injuries stemming from that crash may prevent him from ever walking again without some kind of assistance,” the website writes.
In addition to brain injuries, Tracy broke his leg, femur, nose and ribs in the auto accident. He was released from a rehab facility in July after spending time at the hospital in critical condition.
The comedian, his assistant Jeffrey Millea, his wife Krista Millea and comedian Ardie Fuqua have all sued Walmart in connection with the crash. The group claimed in the lawsuit filed this summer that truckdriver Kevin Roper had driven 700 miles before beginning his shift with Walmart on the day of the collision. They argue Roper was awake an estimated 24 hours before the accident took place - a workload which makes it clear the corporation was negligent in its management of employee welfare.
Lawyers for the company delivered their response to a New Jersey federal court on Monday, insisting they were unable to “admit or deny” allegations without confidentiality, according to The Hollywood reporter.
Walmart stated injuries sustained in the accident "were caused, in whole or in part, by plaintiffs' failure to properly wear an appropriate available seatbelt restraint device”, according to filings, which seek to bar plaintiffs from pursuing damages.
Meanwhile Tracy’s lawyer Benedict Morelli told The New York Post the “jury’s still out” on whether the funnyman will ever be able to perform again.
