Naomi Watts is considering treading the boards.

The actress is known for dramatic movies such as Diana and The Impossible, but has recently tried her hand at comedy opposite Bill Murray in St. Vincent.

While she was nervous about taking on the role of Russian prostitute Daka, she enjoyed being funny and even hints that getting over her anxiety may mean she's ready to tackle the nerves of live theatre.

"That's something I have a lot of fear about," Naomi admitted to People magazine. "And now that I've broken through my fear of comedy, I hope to make that something I can work through too."

Away from the camera Naomi and her partner Liev Schreiber are proud parents to sons Sasha, seven, and five-year-old Samuel.

With a hectic work schedule, including six new projects in the pipeline, 46-year-old Naomi often has times of doubt and sometimes fears she's not there enough for her brood.

"Some days I feel like I have it figured out. Other days I feel like I'm spreading myself too thin," she sighed.

To help lead a balanced family life, Naomi reveals she and Liev "try to stagger things," with the blonde star taking charge of the school runs every day from their New York home.

Another work commitment was thrown into the mix recently, when L'Oréal Paris announced Naomi has become a spokesperson for the make-up giant. The cosmetics company called Naomi a symbol of genuine and radiant beauty, something that has flattered the actress.

"I am deeply honoured to join this inspirational brand. L’Oréal Paris has been telling women for decades that they are 'worth it' - this is not a slogan, it’s an inspirational mantra," she said in a statement.

"L’Oréal Paris embodies much more than legendary products; it also promotes self-affirmation, self-confidence and allows each and every woman to value herself no matter what her age, background or nationality."
