Natalie Dormer has praised Jennifer Lawrence for being "one savvy chick".

Jennifer plays lead character Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games franchise, with Natalie joining for the final two Mockingjay instalments.

Jennifer has won two Oscars thanks to her roles in Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle, and Natalie can't help feeling in awe of the 24-year-old.

"Jennifer Lawrence is just the coolest girl. Everyone forgets how young she is because she's so together, such an old soul. She just gets it. She's one savvy chick," she gushed to UK magazine Glamour.

Natalie is best known for starring as Margaery Tyrell in cult TV show Game of Thrones and is pleased to be dipping her toe in other waters. She's particularly happy to be involved in The Hunger Games, as it's such a big project and she likes the storyline.

"I went to the world premiere of Catching Fire last year, and it was amazing. To be joining The Hunger Games family is such a thrill. It deserves the hype because it's well written, handles really big subject matter, but doesn't talk down to its audience. And then there's the romance element. The Hunger Games has something for everyone," she said.

The films are based on a series of books by Suzanne Collins, which are set in a world where people are made to battle to the death for others' amusement.

They also star Liam Hemsworth as Gale, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta, with Sam Clafin portraying Finnick. Natalie has already considered which of the guys she'd go for if she was in the plot.

"I'd avoid Gale because he's too in love with Katniss, I'd kiss Peeta because he's sweet and I'd marry Finnick because he's loyal," she said.
