Natalie Portman: Intimacy needs emotion

Natalie Portman couldn't have sex without feelings.

The actress is married to ballet dancer Benjamin Millepied and they have three-year-old son Aleph together.

She met Benjamin when they filmed 2010 hit Black Swan together and is so pleased she's found her soulmate.

"I can't even express how happy I am. I have the best husband in the world," she gushed to German channel Tele 5.

"I'm sure you can have sex without feelings being involved... That might be alright for some, but it's not for me!"

In 2009, Natalie starred in The Other Woman, a film about a woman who falls pregnant after an affair, but tragically loses the baby three days after her birth.

She might be a mother herself, but says this has little impact on the roles she pursues.

"There's enough room for every kind of film and I want to know them all," she said.

"If I restricted myself, it would just mean I was setting myself boundaries - and I want to avoid that."

Natalie was born in Israel, but her family relocated to the US when she was three. She only has one regret about her younger years.

"I sometimes wish I'd rebelled more as a child!" she smiled.

The 33-year-old next appears alongside Christian Bale in romantic drama Knight of Cups, which is due out this year. Between work and motherhood, she doesn't have much time to relax. But when she does find a moment, Natalie goes all out.

"I love to have a lie in," she admitted. "I don't get up at 5am to go to the gym. I love creature comforts and, after sleeping in, allow myself a massage.

"I also love music: classical, hip hop, soul and even folk. And I love to read!"
