Nicole Kidman's favourite chore as a kid was washing her dad's shirts.
The Australian actress sadly lost her father Dr. Antony Kidman in September, when he suffered a suspected heart attack.
Recalling her childhood, Nicole revealed she would jump at the chance to do the ironing - a chore she detests in adult life.
"Well I don't do the ironing, I have to admit," Nicole smiled on British TV show Good Morning Britain when asked how she makes her marriage work. "Even though, as a kid, that was my number one chore at home, ironing my dad's shirts, which I loved doing.
"[Daughters] Sunday and Faith both have their chores which they have to do every single day, even though they groan about it. I certainly do my things. Like I love washing clothes. I know! Everybody will be like, 'Are you joking?'"
Nicole and husband Keith Urban tied the knot in 2006, welcoming first oldest daughter Sunday in 2008 and Faith two years later.
Nicole was previously married to Tom Cruise, and the couple have adopted kids Connor and Isabella. Talking about how blissful marriage is the second time round, 47-year-old Nicole says it's definitely possible to find lover later on in life.
"As I always say, we work really hard to keep a relationship alive and to keep it incredibly, I suppose deep and intimate, and that's through meeting in later life and having lived a life and coming together at a particular time that was serendipitous. You know, there's incredible possibilities for love in the latter years. I sound like some old woman, like a grandmother," she laughed. "Anyway, it's good!"
Nicole is currently starring as the evil Millicent in Paddington and says playing the baddie was a lot of fun and something her children loved seeing.
The film stars a host of top British actors, with the bear voiced by Ben Whishaw.
"Most of our job now is acting to things that aren't there because of green screen and special effects and the way in which the industry is now. And now, when you actually get to act opposite an actor, you're just so grateful that there's somebody there that's got flesh and can speak back to you," Nicole smiled of the all-star cast.
