Oscar Isaac: I'm incognito

Oscar Isaac enjoys being unrecognisable.

The 35-year-old actor may have two films currently in cinemas, A Most Violent Year and Ex Machina, but he still manages to go about life unnoticed. Even after landing a big role in the upcoming greatly anticipated Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, Oscar is able to venture out and about with ease.

"People never recognise me. I'm doing a movie right now and one of the camera guys comes up with a picture saying, 'That's not you, is it'" he laughed to British newspaper Metro.

"The fun part is being able to disappear into the fabric of whatever movie I'm doing. That's one of the things I like doing the most. Maybe I'll still be able to kind of fly under the radar."

The new Star Was flick comes a decade after the last instalment, Revenge of the Sith, and is helmed by Star Trek director J.J. Abrams. Despite the enormous budget and heavy use of CGI throughout, Oscar felt comfortable on set.

"It's very exciting. They're iconic stories and universes which have been a part of people's lives for a very, very long time. The way J.J. shoots it is very tactile. It felt intimate at times," he noted.

Another big franchise Oscar is joining is X-Men, bagging himself the part of evil mutant En Sabah Nur / Apocalypse in the forthcoming flick Apocalypse. His character is the heroes' "greatest foe" and it will see him star alongside regulars such as James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence.

Oscar often turns to other actors for inspiration when embodying his roles. For example, in A Most Violent Year he looked at performances such as Al Pacino in Dog Day Afternoon to get into his part of businessman Abel Morales.
