Pamela Anderson is said to be making politics the "focus of her life".

The 47-year-old star's love life made the headlines earlier this year after she split from her husband Rick Salomon for a second time but she decided to call the divorce off in August. This follows the couple separating in 2007 after less than ten weeks of marriage, citing fraud.

Pamela has also had an emotional time recently following the death of her dog Jo last month. The star is an avid animal activist and supporter of PETA and it's thought this interest in fighting for her beliefs has her considering a life in politics.

“Pam is getting involved in political causes and is going to make that the focus of her life!” a source told RadarOnline.com.

She and Rick are said to be happier than ever now they've worked things out too.

“Pam is doing wonderful, finally. She and Rick are getting along great and she finally feels secure in her relationship with him and vice versa," the insider added.

Pamela previously revealed she and Rick still saw each other following their first split and at the beginning of this year she announced they had walked down the aisle again at an unspecified date. It's thought things got off to a rough start the second time round, but now they are working hard on their marriage.

“The beginning of their second marriage was like a roller coaster ride,” the source explained.

“For the longest time the most important people in her life were her children [sons Brandon and Dylan from her former marriage to Tommy Lee]. But now she feels like she has a soul mate in Rick. She is having a mid-life awakening, rather than crisis.”
