Patrick Dempsey to divorce

Patrick Dempsey’s wife Jillian Fink has filed for divorce.

The Grey’s Anatomy actor was married to the make-up artist for 15 years and the couple have three children together, daughter Tallulah Fyfe, 12 and seven-year-old twin boys, Sullivan Patrick and Darby Galen. However his spouse filed divorce papers citing irreconcilable differences.

"It is with careful consideration and mutual respect that we have decided to end our marriage," the couple told People in a statement. "Our primary concern remains the wellbeing of our children, and we ask with profound gratitude that you respect our family's privacy at this very sensitive time."

TMZ also reported that Jillian was asking for joint custody of the children as well as spousal and child support.

The 49-year-old is reportedly worth $40 million and the couple allegedly didn’t have a pre-nuptial agreement.

“It remains to be seen whether it will be amicable,” a source told TMZ, which added that Jillian reportedly has had an issue with Patrick’s ego for a while and thinks it’s “out of control”.

“She's all about the kids,” another insider added.

This will be the second divorce for the hunky star, who was married to fellow actor and acting coach Rochelle "Rocky" Parker from 1987 until 1994.

However Patrick has previously spoken about how happy Jillian made him.

“The best part about being married is feeling centered. Nothing else matters so much as long as you can come home and be with your family,” he said.

But the star did add that he still likes to have some alone time.

“She’ll do things on her own so she can come back and be much more patient with the kids,” he continued. “I go car racing.”
