Robert Pattinson and Katy Perry are reportedly planning to spend Easter together.
The actor and musician have been linked several times in the past, with claims they dated briefly last year. Their dalliance ended when Katy reunited with John Mayer, who she split from properly in February this year.
Now the pair are both single, it's claimed they have reconnected and bonded while at the Coachella music festival in California this weekend.
"Katy and Rob have been hanging out all weekend and making plans for Easter, too," an insider told British newspaper The Sun.
“Friends genuinely want to see them get it together properly. They think they bring out the best in each other."
Robert famously dated his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart for several years, although they eventually split after failing to get over her affair with married film director Rupert Sanders. As Katy and Kristen know each other the logistics of the singer romancing Robert were always difficult, but that is apparently no longer a consideration.
"Katy and Rob are the best of friends with a very strong sexual chemistry. They care a lot about each other but have always been careful not to upset Kristen," the source explained.
“But Kristen’s off doing her own thing and accepting it’s time for both of them to move on."
Friends of the stars are apparently set on them finally getting together and some even think they could wed.
However, it seems Robert isn't the only one who is vying for Katy's attention. It's been alleged she was flirting with producer Diplo over the weekend, while she also spent some time chatting to British singer/songwriter Sam Smith.
"Katy’s incredibly friendly and lovely," Sam told British newspaper The Daily Star. "People think these big stars are going to be divas, but once I got over being starstruck they are just normal people who like to be treated normally. And she’s fun.”
