Brad Pitt would never want to be young again.

The 50-year-old actor is arguably in the prime of his life - he married Angelina Jolie in France last month and they are raising their six children together.

Alongside this he has a great career, and is currently promoting his latest film, Fury.

"With age comes wisdom. That's almost my mantra: I'd never switch age for youth. Not for one day," he smiled to German newspaper Bild.

Brad and Angelina announced their engagement in 2012, after seven years together. It was a much anticipated wedding, with constant speculation about when and where they would tie the knot.

They eventually said their vows on August 23 during a private ceremony in Château Miraval.

"It's my inner light," Brad smiled when complimented on his glowing appearance. "You can't switch that off easily. You can't really destroy that.

"I really have my foot on the gas - I feel great!"

Brad and Angelina have adoptive children Pax, Maddox and Zahara and biological kids Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne. First and foremost, the Oscar winner would describe himself as a father, calling it is his day job.

"My family, of course," he answered what was most important to him following the wedding.

"My life is formed by certain things: we'll just keep going the way we always have. And discover new things at the same time. Always stay creative - and never lose your sense of adventure."

Brad plays Dan 'Wardaddy' Collier in Fury, which also stars Shia LaBeouf and Scott Eastwood.
