Daniel Radcliffe has confessed that he has only just seen the original Star Wars film.

The Harry Potter actor recently made a trip to Pinewood Studios to see Star Wars: Episode VII being filmed, the latest instalment in the world-famous franchise.

However, Daniel says his admission that he is a late addition to the Star Wars bandwagon didn’t go down too well with the film’s star Harrison Ford.

“I have only watched the first three, like the original movies, within the last six months,” he said in the interview with MTV News.

“I’m a new Star Wars fan. In a way, I might have been Harrison Ford’s worst nightmare, because I’m like ‘Those movie are so cool, man,’ like I’ve just heard about them.”

And Harrison wasn’t the only one to be less than impressed with movie star Daniel’s revelation. But J.J. Abrams, who is directing Star Wars Episode VII, was perhaps more convincing at hiding his true feelings.

“I admitted that to J.J. Abrams as well, and he looked at me like he maybe wanted to kill me for a second,” Daniel said. “But they were very nice.”

His visit to the set of the upcoming movie caused a huge ruckus in the social media stratosphere. Thousands of fans began speculating that Daniel could have taken on a role in the feature, but the actor says he had no idea such a low-key visit would cause such a stir.

“I didn’t realise I caused commotion,” Daniel said.

Daniel’s latest movie role sees him star alongside Juno Temple in Horns, which tells the story of a man who uses his newly-discovered paranormal skills in a bid to discover who killed his girlfriend.
