Rebecca Ferguson “trained for months” for her Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’s character’s thigh-squeezing murder move.

The 31-year-old actress stars as former British secret agent Ilsa alongside Tom Cruise in the latest installment in the action movie franchise.

While many of the film’s characters rely on guns and other weaponry to prove victorious in fight scenes, Ilsa only needs her muscular legs to crush her opponents.

And Rebecca admits that perfecting the move took a lot of training.

"That was Ilsa's specialty. I tried to bring it on as much as possible," Rebecca told USA Today. "It's an incredible move. But it took months of practice."

However while Ilsa’s enemies were shown the door thanks to her incredible thighs, the star admits she was terrified of injuring one of her co-stars.

But luckily, Rebecca was starring alongside well-trained stunt men who were more than capable of defending themselves.

"I was worried about hurting somebody," she said. "But basically, the guys I jump up on are very well-trained stunt people and handled it."

The fifth Mission: Impossible is helmed by director Christopher McQuarrie.

He admits in the interview that it wasn’t only Rebecca’s athletic ability that made him realise she was perfect for the role.

"The other stuff is great, fantastic," he said. "But Rebecca has these beautiful, expressive, somewhat-feline eyes which alternate between lovely and incredibly lethal.

"The best thing about Rebecca is she makes Ilsa deadly without making her brutal.”

“Basically, I love playing an agent who still has vulnerability and a soul,” Rebecca added in the interview.
