Reese Witherspoon's mind is constantly in "ten different directions".
The actress is having an amazing start to the year with her production work on Gone Girl and her lead role in Wild, which has scored her a best actress Oscar nomination.
She's also a busy mom to 15-year-old Ava and Deacon, 11, who she has with her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, and two-year-old Tennessee, who she has with current husband Jim Toth.
Juggling so many things can be tricky for the 38-year-old.
"I'm very excited about the work I'm doing as a producer - being part of Gone Girl and other projects," she smiled to the British edition of OK! magazine.
"It's also a wonderful thing to be able to have a great family around you and realise how fortunate I am. My husband and I have a beautiful young son and that's given us so much joy.
"Sometimes it's hard to manage everything during the day because you also want to give your older kids as much of your time as you can. Your mind is going in ten different directions and you can't keep up, but somehow you manage."
In Wild, Reese has risqué sex scenes and also addresses the issue of drug use. She was open with her eldest, Ava, about the project, but admits the teen was embarrassed.
But in general, the star is glad women are becoming more able to discuss these issues.
"That's why I love writers like Lena Dunham and what she's done on Girls," she explained.
"She's done a lot to change our way of thinking about women's attitudes towards sex and being very open and realistic about female sexuality. I would love to do that show one day [laughs]."
