Rob Kardashian has reportedly failed to turn up to a meeting he scheduled with his stepfather Bruce Jenner.
The troubled reality star has been the focus of his family’s concern for the past year due to his weight gain, depression and reported drug problem.
And despite arranging to visit Bruce at his Malibu home on Sunday, Rob reportedly never showed up. Instead, Rob was photographed spending time with his friends – acquaintances his family are said to disapprove of.
“Rob had called Bruce and said he would come by,” a Kardashian source told RadarOnline.com. “Bruce didn’t get his hopes up because Rob has done this so many times previously.
“In the end, Rob didn’t show up, and didn’t even bother to call Bruce and tell him why.
“Everyone in the family is obviously very worried about Rob. The friends he is hanging around aren’t the best influence for him.”
In a recent episode of the family’s reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Rob’s mother Kris Jenner admitted being so concerned about her son’s wellbeing that she cries herself to sleep.
“I want to fix Rob,” the 58-year-old admitted in the clip. “I have not, not cried myself to sleep in so long that I don’t even know what that’s like.
“It’s the worst feeling in the world when one of your kids isn’t in a good place,” Kris said to her daughter Kim while fighting back tears.
Meanwhile, Rob’s ex-girlfriend Adrienne Bailon, who dated him from 2007 to 2009, has opened up about her romance with the reality star.
In a new interview with Latina magazine, Adrienne admitted that her involvement with Rob and her appearances on the family’s reality show proved detrimental to her career.
“To be stuck with that Kardashian label, that was so hurtful to me and to my career,” Adrienne explained. “I probably realised that too late - not that it would’ve affected my decisions in terms of who I dated, but it would’ve affected my decision to appear on the show.
“At the time, I didn’t think anyone would even care. To this day, people will still say, ‘You ruined Rob’s life!’ and I’ll think, damn, I was still playing with Barbie dolls when I met him.”
