Rob Kardashian reportedly resents his family for “capitalising on his weight issues”.

The reality TV star has gained a lot of weight over the last year, which has reportedly caused depression and a drug problem. The drama and struggles surrounding his battle are frequently played out on his family’s television show.

“Rob really resents that his entire family is capitalising on his weight issues by talking about them on Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” an insider told Hollywood Life. “It’s embarrassing enough, so much so that he’s just isolating himself, especially from the family.”

Rob has reportedly been distancing himself, even missing the family’s trip to Thailand earlier this year as well as a holiday to Greece in 2013 at which time he said he was “so insecure” with his weight that he didn’t “want to go anywhere”.

“He still talks to Khloé, but he just doesn’t spend as much time with her because he wants to isolate himself,” the source detailed.

In an episode on E!, Khloé admitted to feeling “guilty” about Rob’s condition. Rob lived with his sister and her estranged husband Lamar Odom before she separated from the basketball player.

“I was not there to protect Rob, I was not even there to protect myself,” she told her stepbrother Brody Jenner in the episode.

Meanwhile, Rob’s former girlfriend Adrienne Bailon, who dated him from 2007 to 2009, told Latina magazine that the “Kardashian label” was “hurtful” to her career. The former Cheetah Girls actress also talked about Rob’s cheating on her, which he admitted to in a 2010 episode, and called his actions “disloyal”.

Kim took to social media to defend her brother, writing, "So sad when people try to kick my brother when he is down #FamilyForever.”
