ROCK OF AGES THE MUSICAL, the award-winning hit musical that has taken the UK by storm is upping sticks and rolling across London into a new home at the Garrick Theatre from 18th January.

Following on from a face-melting 16-month stint and over 500 performances at the Shaftesbury Theatre (final performance 6th January), the cast will take the midnight train and the Bourbon Room will be reopened for business on 18th January, raising the roof of their new home every night with the greatest ROCK tunes of the 80s.

Taking such a huge cast and crew on a journey to a new venue is quite a challenge but the Garrick Theatre is ready to rock and welcome fans young and old.

Recent newcomers to the cast are Ross Hunter (My Fair Lady, Legally Blonde, We Will Rock You) as Drew, the city boy following his dreams of being a rock star with the help of hippie bar owner Dennis Dupree - played by Daniel Fletcher (Blues Brothers, Fame, We Will Rock You). Taking on the role of the maverick rock god Stacee Jaxx is former star of Tonight’s The Night and singer with Mike & The Mechanics, Tim Howar.

The cast themselves can’t wait to move to the new theatre and be able to get even more involved with the audiences. Simon Lipkin who plays the narrator, letchy lothario Lonny says: “It’s awesome we’re following Status Quo’s mantra of Rockin’ All Over the World, we’re Rockin’ All Over the West End!”

ROCK OF AGES THE MUSICAL has become a massive hit in the West End with celebrities and critics alike dusting down their leather, back-combing their hair and waving their lighters in the air to ‘London’s Greatest Guilty Pleasure!” In the past few months, the cast has been cheered on by, and even joined on stage by, diverse celebrity fans from Alice Cooper (who performed at the end of the show), Britney Spears, Adam Garcia, Kimberley Wyatt and Martin Kemp to Saxon’s Biff Byford, Cilla Black, Gloria Hunniford, Jennifer Saunders and Jeremy Clarkson.
