Russell Brand has denied hitting a homeless man’s shopping cart with his car.
The comedian claimed he simply “helped to pick up [the man's] stuff” after he was spotted gathering trash and bottles in the street after the alleged accident.
It had previously been reported that the British actor had smashed into the man’s garbage-filled trolley while driving around Hollywood in his Range Rover.
However, Russell explained his version of events in a short video interview with TMZ.
“Nothing [happened]. Course I saw him. I didn’t hit him, look at the footage. I helped to pick up his stuff. I was driving along, there was some things [on the road], so I helped him pick them up,” he said before joking he likes to smash into people with his car regularly. “No, of course [I did] not [hit the man]. But I do run people over quite a lot. Two or three weeks I like to do a running-over.”
Meanwhile, the famous lothario has been spotted with yet another mystery woman.
Katy Perry’s ex-husband was pictured visiting Santa’s Grotto in a Hollywood mall and posed for a picture on Father Christmas’ knee with his blonde companion.
Earlier, the 37-year-old had enjoyed lunch at swanky Cecconi’s Restaurant, where he was seen putting his arm around his date’s shoulder.
