Seann William Scott calls off engagement

Seann William Scott has called off his engagement to model Lindsay Frimodt.

The 36-year-old American Pie star proposed to the ex-Victoria’s Secret beauty early last year during a beach vacation.

Us Weekly reports that the pair remain friendly despite ending their romance.

"They remain friends," a source tells the magazine of the breakup.

"It was a very amicable split."

Seann, who plays crude womaniser Steve Stifler in the hit slapstick film franchise, confirmed the engagement last March at the premiere of American Reunion.

"I don't how I got a girl like my fiancée," Seann said.

"She hadn't seen American Pie. Thank god. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't be engaged!

Since American Reunion last year, Seann provided the voice for Opossum Crash in Ice Age: Continental Drift, and next appears in ensemble comedy Movie 43 alongside a star studded cast.

Movie 43 is a series of interconnected short films following three children searching the Internet to find the most banned movie in the world.
