To protest against the attack on freedom of expression that the threats against screenings of The Interview represents, Secret Cinema is staging a special one off Secret Screening this Sunday 21st December with all proceeds from the show going to global free speech charity Article 19.

Secret Cinema’s previous charity screening of Dead Poet’s Society in August 2014 raised over £24,000 for Mind the mental health charity.

Secret Cinema passionately believes in the freedom to create and is looking for partners to join them in hosting a simultaneous screening across the Globe with a view to strengthen the resolve of filmmakers and artists against the threat of censorship, and to stand in solidarity with artists whose freedom of expression is routinely curtailed.

The film will remain secret for now. We ask all to wear dark suits and bring a small gift to give to a stranger.

The London screening will be held at a secret location in East London with doors opening at 18.30pm and we ask all attendees to keep locations a secret.

The cost of the show will be £25.00 per person and all proceeds will go to the global free speech charity Article 19. Audience members must be 15 years and above.

To show support please post #freedomtocreate

Tickets can be purchased here from 16.00 today, Friday 19th December 2014.

The special screening in protest and solidarity will be encouraged to go worldwide simultaneously in Europe at 19.30 GMT / 21.00 CET. To join to set up your own screenings outside London please contact Secret Cinema via
