Sienna Miller believes “strong” love can get people through most things.

The actress and her fiancé Tom Sturridge have been together since 2011 and they have daughter Marlowe together.

In her latest movie venture, American Sniper, she takes on the real-life role of Taya, a woman who was married to Navy SEAL Chris Kyle. The 33-year-old can only imagine how tough it was to be left alone when her husband was on tour.

“Taya knew [Chris] was able to do his job better than anyone else," she reasoned to People magazine. "When he was home with her and the kids, he knew there were people dying that he thought he could save. That is a really impossible dilemma to be faced with. They managed to get through it because their love was really strong."

Sienna Skyped Taya to get to know her before taking on the part. By the time they met, the star says they already felt like close friends. And she has great admiration for the brave woman.

"I love her because she is a really open, unguarded, kind, generous, intelligent woman," she gushed. "I love her because she is formidable. I feel very close to her."

American Sniper stars Bradley Cooper in the lead role as Chris. It’s garnered great awards attention and is nominated in the best motion picture category at the Academy Awards, with Bradley up for the best actor Oscar.

Sienna is currently enjoying a career high, also appearing in drama Foxcatcher, which stars Steve Carell and Channing Tatum.
