Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott didn’t have “a lot of interaction” at their daughter’s birthday party.

The couple’s marriage was rocked by reports of Dean’s infidelity in December last year. They have since documented their struggles to repair their union on reality show True Tori. But at their daughter Hattie’s third birthday, there wasn’t a lot of affection between the spouses.

“Overall the mood of the party was light," an eyewitness told E! News. "There was no drama to speak of. [However] There was not a lot of interaction between the two. They did not show any PDA."

Instead, the two mingled with guests including Tori’s mother Candy Spelling, Tatum O'Neal, Alyson Hannigan and her husband Alexis Denisof.

Tori, 41, married Dean in 2006 and the couple have four children together. But the 47-year-old actor confessed to his wife in December that he had strayed while filming in Toronto. He then admitted himself to a rehabilitation facility earlier this year to deal with “health and personal issues”.

The former Beverly Hills, 90210 star has not been afraid of showing all her emotions on her reality show. But following the season finale, Tori admitted she still hopes their family can stay together for the long haul.

“We're definitely committed to being a family. We're working on things,” she told US Weekly. "It's a work in progress, but family comes first and we're definitely working on it, and things are better.”

She added they both plan to continue seeing a couple’s therapist together for the sake of their vows.
