Celebrities are mourning the tragic passing of Kyle Jean-Baptiste.

The young man is the first black actor to have ever been cast as the lead role of Jean Valjean in the Broadway production of Les Misérables and he was also the youngest.

But at just 21 years old Kyle tragically died Friday evening after falling from the fire escape at his mother’s house, according to the New York Daily News.

And all types of entertainers have taken to social media to mourn the loss of Kyle.

“RIP Kyle Jean-Baptiste. My love and hugs to his family. And the cast of @LesMiserables,” Kristin Chenoweth wrote on Twitter, with singer Josh Groban following suit by tweeting: “He was just getting started. So sad. My condolences as well to family and cast.”

Will & Grace star Debra Messing also vented her lamentation of Kyle’s death.

The 47-year-old actress is extremely shaken up over the tragedy.

“This is so unspeakably tragic. Thinking of his family and all who loved him,” Debra tweeted.

The Les Misérables company are going to miss working with Kyle tremendously.

Losing him so suddenly has gripped the hearts of every castmember.

"The entire Les Misérables family is shocked and devastated by the sudden and tragic loss of Kyle, a remarkable young talent and tremendous person who made magic - and history - in his Broadway debut," the production’s spokesman said in a statement. “We send our deepest condolences to his family and ask that you respect their privacy in this unimaginably difficult time."
