Jason Sudeikis' baby boy is always looking for danger.
The American funnyman and his fiancée Olivia Wilde welcomed son Otis last April and the tot is currently learning about the perks of walking. It's proving a handful for the couple, who end up running after 16-month-old Otis to keep him out of harm's way.
"I know, where'd that come from?" dark-haired Jason laughed to Jimmy Fallon after the host commented on Otis' cute blonde hair. "I gotta have a conversation with Olivia about that... I've been putting it off; I've never once asked her about it or been, like... (shrugs).
"He's running around getting in trouble, I mean, isn't our job... I mean, you know, you have two [kids], [he's running around the hall] like he knows everybody, and danger - he's looking for danger. We're just trying to keep him alive! That's our goal, that's all we're commissioned to do."
Jason is loving every second of fatherhood though and describes watching his son grow as evolution.
However, the actor did notice Otis was slower than his little counterparts when it came to walking. Luckily the keen sports fan was able to help, leading to Otis sharing his dad's interest.
"I was kind of like, 'Oh boy, Otis, let's go buddy.' I was thinking, 'Am I not walking enough in front of him? It's the drinking, it's the Segway!'" Jason laughed.
"But then he realised, 'Oh, in order to get this little tiny basketball from one side of the room to the other I need to use both hands,' and the only way to use both hands is to not crawl, therefore walk. So literally his first steps, which were back in May, were because he had a basketball in his hand so I hurry up and get a little basketball hoop and put it in his little room. And that's what got him walking."
