Suri Cruise 'insists on nickname'

Suri Cruise is reportedly asking people to call her Gigi.

The daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes has a friend who is a massive fan of a book called Gigi, God's Little Princess. The tome is a Christian text about a little girl who has always thought she was royalty and then finds out she is the daughter of the King of Kings.

Although Suri hasn't read it, she apparently loves hearing about the story from her friend. It has struck such a chord with her she has even ordered those around her to start calling her Gigi.

At the moment Tom, who is famed for his devotion to Scientology, is yet to discover where the moniker comes from.

"As part of their divorce, Katie and Tom agreed not to discuss religion with Suri," a source told National Enquirer. "But everyone knows that Tom is Mr. Scientology - he'd hit the roof if he knew the origin of this nickname!"
Suri isn't the only celebrity child who has asked to rename herself.

Last year, it was widely reported that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's tomboy daughter Shiloh was unhappy with her name. She apparently grew jealous of her older brothers Maddox and Pax so took matters into her own hands.

"For a while Shiloh had everyone in the family calling her Ben for some reason but she grew tired of that," an insider said at the time.

"These days she's decided she wants to be known as Shax because Maddox, Pax, and Knox's names all end in the letter X."
